We first met up with Hemma & Ritul in Paris for their engagement shoot and wow what a stunning shoot that was! Well this time it was the event that everything had been leading to and we were so honoured to have been chosen to provide them with their Indian Wedding Photography! Spanning over two days we were able to capture some beautiful moments between Hemma, Ritul and their loved ones!

But enough from me, We’ll let the Pictures and Hemma do the talking…

What was it like planning your wedding?

Exciting. I loved every moment of planning. Don’t get me wrong, it was stressful at time but it was all worth it when the day came and I saw how all our hard work paid off. The wedding was the fairytale wedding I always dreamt of.

What was the most memorable/special part of the day for you?

I would say the most memorable moment was when I saw Ritul for the first time at the wedding. The most memorable moment of the reception was our first dance. Every time I hear the song now, I am secretly doing the moves in my head!

Were you nervous?

Not at first, but when I walked down the aisle, seeing all our guests looking at me, I felt the nerves kick in.

Did everything go according to plan?

Yes it did

Were there any funny/emotional moments that stand out for you?

A funny moment for me, was once we had said our vows and walked out the room, he did his typical pose for the camera and licked my face. Guille will be able to tell you that he does this a lot, especially in Paris. The most emotional moment I would say would be when Ritul put the sindoor, red powder, in my hair to symbolise me becoming his wife.

We loved your Choreographed Dance! Tell us about that!

That took a lot of practice. We had 10 lesson to perfect the dance and make sure all guests had a good view of our dance. The best part of the lessons were spending time with Ritul and having a break from the planning.

How did you prepare for your first dance?

Lots and lots of practice. We even hired a dance studio for 2 days before the reception to make sure we hadn’t forgotten the moves.

Tell us about the proposal in Paris!

Unforgettable. It is very hard to surprise me so am I was shocked that I didn’t see this coming. We went to Paris for my birthday. On the way back to the hotel from Disneyland, Ritul told me that the date on the tickets home that evening were incorrect. We were actually returning the next morning. He went to the extent of checking us back in the hotel and ringing the airline to see if we could get a flight home that evening. After all his attempts to get us home, it failed and we decided to seek this as an opportunity to enjoy another evening. We went for a walk by Champ de Mars to meet Ritul’s friends brother (hired photographer) and girlfriend and whilst we were talking, the Eiffel Tower lights started flashing and before I knew it Ritul was down on one knee proposing!

Are there any other special little touches you planned that you’d like to tell us about?

There were lots of little special touches, hard to say all.

Were there any surprises?

Yes there was, Ritul’s surprise dance with his grooms men.

Do you want to give a special mention to anyone who really helped a lot in planning your day?

A special thank you to both our parents and our sisters. I want to thank my cousin sisters and sister in laws for helping me throughout the planning. A huge thank you to my cousin brothers, Bhavesh and Nilesh, for being the my backbone one the day and dealing with any problems on the day and just making sure the day went to planned, without their constant help and support it would not have been so perfect.
